LithoLog is a software product developed with input from expert sedimentologists, with the goal of digitalizing sedimentological information using standardized geological methodology
to minimise subjectivity and inconsistency in
the description process.
It also generates robust, fully quantitative sedimentological data at a scale normally reserved for detailed petrographic analysis/optical microscopy. Unrivalled accuracy in generating continuous grain size distribution curves, accurate
to the micronscale.
Functionalities to label the CoreDNA data and images are also integrated in this software. This advanced labelled data set
is used to train supervised multi dimensional deep machine learning to automate the identification of textures, structures and composition of rocks.
